This 3 Inch new construction housing is constructed from die-cast aluminum to increase life span of this pot light housing. There is a thermal switch included, it will automatically power off when overheated and automatically turn on when cooled down to increase the can's efficiency. This 3" new construction recessed can light is airtight and can be installed near insulation (IC Rated). Product Overview: Use this 3 inch new construction can light for new construction applications where you have an access to the ceiling. However, if you don't have access to ceiling, we recommend using our New Construction Cans. This new construction line voltage housing is made of die-cast aluminum and is IC and Airtight Rated for longer life. This 3" recessed pot light comes equipped with an LED quick connector that is compatible with almost every LED downlight in the market.
