Knife marks shown in picture are normal and will sand off. Burl woods usually require some flattening which can be done with the flattener shown (sold separately. Some notes about raw veneers in burl form: 1) Holes and voids are common to this type of veneer and would need wood filler after lamination. Please review picture closely to see how much of this exists (if any). 2) Most burl woods require some flattening prior to lamination. 3) Pricing is per piece, not for the entire bundle. If you need more than one piece, we would give some type of discount based on the quantity. 4) Burls from the same bundle can be used to lay out side by side and end over end to make larger pieces. They will match up reasonably well after being trimmed to square or rectangular forms. This is what is done to make bigger backed sheets that we also have.
