The Red Planet Series from Carson is a newtonian reflector telescope that comes included with a universal smartphone digiscoping adapter. You can now use the built-in camera application on your smartphone to take pictures and record video through the included telescope eyepieces. Then share the images and video through social media or email them to family and friends. The digiscoping adapter connector is retrofitted to fit over the included K9mm and K20mm eyepieces. The large 76mm diameter reflecting mirror of the Red Planet telescope captures plenty of light for crisp, bright images and startling detail. The telescope features a high-quality, heavy duty aluminum tripod and a U-Mount with slow motion controls for easy tracking of specific stars, planets and constellations. With a magnification range of 35x-78x powers, you can use the Red Planet telescopes to view the Rings of Saturn, the Moons of Jupiter and much more. It features a 10x30mm finder scope and two high quality eyepieces for the best viewing results. The Red Planet telescope also includes both K20mm and K9mm eyepieces. These eyepieces are ideal for astronomical viewing. The horizontal phone alignment is done using a variable pitch screw for fine control when you need it but can also be moved quickly between an iPhone (corner camera) and Android (center camera) positions.
