This Metra Home Theater CS-C5DE CAT-5E CAT-6 Digital Audio Extender is a great way to send Digital (optical and digital coax) audio signals over a long distance using Category cable terminated with RJ45s. This is an Active digital audio extender system that provides for extended range multichannel digital audio transmission over a standard CAT-5E/CAT-6 cable, and used in conjunction with optical cables (in/out) greatly reduces the chance of picking up radiated noise from the 110-volt AC lines.
