It is designed for accurate reaming in most materials using all types of equipment including screw machines, turret lathes, drill presses and machining centers. It is regularly pointed with a 45 degrees chamfer. The straight-flute design is recommended for most general purpose reaming. High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications.
