Generac Breather heater kit for air cooled standby generators is recommended for extreme cold weather applications where heavy icing or freezing can occur. The Breather heater kit activates when temperatures fall below an acceptable level. This Breather kit is only compatible on 9Kw - 22Kw standby generators manufactured in 2013 & later. When installing any cold weather item, it is required that the oil in the generator be replaced with 5w-30 synthetic oil.
