Measure the outside frame width adding 8" to be the outside mount width.Step 2. If your window is french window, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to the place 0.4" above the ground. If your window is windowsill window, measure from 2.4" above the top window frame to the place 4 " below the bottom window frame.
