When do you need to replace your refrigerator seal?If your refrigerator is no longer keeping a constant temperature and cold air escapes, it’s because the refrigerator seal is not sealing properly. This creates ice on the frozen food and also high electricity costs that you can avoid. It’s time to order a new refrigerator seal.Remove the rubber seal from the groove and clean the seal with lukewarm water and some detergent. Then rub the seal dry with a clean kitchen towel or microfiber cloth. You should also clean the groove, so that no residue is left there. Now apply a thin layer of super glue to the groove and gently push the rubber back into the holder. Make sure that the sealing profile is not compressed or stretched too much, otherwise leaks can form. It should be evenly positioned in all areas of the frame, which is the only way to ensure good sealing. To get an optimal adhesive result, we recommend that you press the seal gently and not too much pressure on the adhesive surface for about 2 minutes. When you have glued all the sealing areas, close the refrigerator for about half an hour. Then the adhesive can harden properly and the seal holds well again. Warm air should no longer be able to enter the refrigerator unhindered.
