The new KGD40 contact type has been developed as a DC contact for applications up to 50 A. Arc time is reduced to a few milliseconds by using permanent magnets in the contact set. Two magnets per pole are used to mitigate polarity sensitivity. Upon request, these breakers are available with door handle systems and hanging loop systems.
