A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, with the latter marked by a red ring. The good side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (rejected). The reject side can be screwed in by hand up to two turns. If it goes further, the thread is rejected. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to the workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request, with independent lab calibration following DIN, ISO, ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
