Review Outdoor Gear Axe Sheath for Husqvarna 13 in. Curved Handle Hatchet

This sheath is designed specifically and exactly for the Husqvarna 13 in. curved handle hatchet. It is made out of raw cowhide and later stained with Neatsfoot oil. The sheath is handmade in Spokane, Washington. The construction of the sheath starts with three pieces of leather: the main body of the sheath, the securing strap and the welt. The main body is folded over a welt that is inserted into between the two folded half which prevents the blade of the inserted axe from cutting the stitch that is placed to hold the sheath together. The sheath is then hand stitched and steel rivets are placed at the corners to reinforce the body. The axe head blade, when placed in the sheath, is prevented from touching the rivets because of the welt. The retention strap is then secured with a steel rivet and a steel snap is added for easy on/off action. This sheath is built to last, and quality made in the USA (Spokane, Washington).
