The Maîtres de l'affiche is a French monthly illustrated publication, issued between December 1895 and November 1900. Its full title is 'Maîtres de l'affiche: Monthly Publication featuring Reproductions of the Finest Illustrated Posters by Great French and Foreign Artists', published by L'Imprimerie Chaix, Paris. The original concept was by Jules Chéret, then artistic director of Chaix, a print shop at 20 Rue Bergère in Paris. Each issue contains four posters, reproduced in 29x40 cm format using chromolithography. Each edition includes a dry stamp for authentication. A beautiful, yet slightly flawed, example.
