This distinctive vintage menu cover, featuring mudheads admiring a bottle of champagne, was employed at a Fred Harvey restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born in 1835, Fred Harvey immigrated to the US at 17, rising from pot scrubber to found the country's first restaurant chain, Harvey Houses, along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railways. Despite his death in 1901, his company thrived until the late 1960s.
