It is constructed from a hydrophobic poly blend that repels water, enabling the boom to selectively absorb oils and other hydrocarbons. The bilge boom also floats, making it ideal for use in nautical applications; it won’t shed or sink even when saturated with oil. Featuring a bright white color, this sorbent boom makes it easy to see saturation levels so you can assess how much usage remains at a glance. And thanks to the convenient metal clip, you can attach a rope to the bilge boom for easy deployment and retrieval. Simply clip a rope or chain to the carabiner to raise and lower the boom into bilges and sumps, regardless of depth.
