Trento is an enamelled cast iron cookware collection with a host of features as well as sleek, stylish good looks. Part of a collection of six items, this versatile 32cm wok is suitable for all hob types including induction, gas, electric and ceramic glass and is oven proof. The cast iron construction guarantees fast, easy cooking as it distributes heat evenly and quickly throughout the pot. It features a black enamelled coating on the inside and the exterior, adding a special, rustic touch to your kitchen. The brushed stainless steel knob on the lid offers a stylish element as well as a safe, comfortable grip.Care and Use:Before using for the first time, wash your Trento cast iron cookware by hand, with a small amount of mild detergent. Dry promptly and thoroughly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.Pre-heat your Trento. To ensure even heating, gradually pre-heat the pot on a hob of a similar diameter. Since cast iron holds heat, it's not necessary to use a heat setting above medium. This helps prevent food from sticking. Don't forget to use a hot handle mitt! Once your pan is pre-heated, add a very light layer of cooking oil (any cooking oils and fats can be used for seasoning cast iron, but we recommend vegetable oil, coconut, or canola oil) onto the surface of your pan. Use a paper towel to wipe the surface until no oil residue remains. Apply the oil after each use to not only protect cast iron seasoning, but enhance the finish for decades of cooking. With each use, you'll see the performance get better and better. What does seasoning mean? Seasoning forms a natural, easy-release cooking surface and helps prevent your pan from rusting. A well-seasoned cast iron pan can last for generations. When using on smooth hobs such as induction of glass ceramic, lift your Trento to move it to avoid scratching your cooktop. Use only silicone, nylon or wooden utensils to stir food. Enamelled iron is extremely resistant but it can be damaged if it suffers any impact against hard surfaces. Avoid dropping or hitting your Trento against hard surfaces, which can cause the enamel to come off. If this occurs, rust can appear in the affected area without compromising the performance of the cookware items. Avoid thermal shock by not soaking a hot pan in cold water. Never use abrasive products to wash it. If burnt food sticks to the pan, soak the area in warm water and clean with a sponge and mild detergent. After cleaning, apply a thin layer of cooking oil around the rim of the body and lid of your cookware. Some activities may remove a bit of your seasoning, such as cooking acidic foods, using excessive heat, or scrubbing with abrasive utensils or scouring pads; that's why our simple cleaning steps require you to rub oil into your pan after each use to ensure the seasoning remains for quality cooking.
