Usnea (Usnea barbata) is a lichen of the Parmelia family. The thallus of this lichen consists of a large number of thin branches. The color of the thallus is yellow-green. Its length can be up to 2 meters. An axial dense cylinder is found in the central part of the thallus, which is formed from interwoven hyphae. Usnea barbata is common in the temperate forest zone. It is worth looking for it in coniferous forests, as it rarely settles in deciduous forests.
