The PWS20T-L Watts Pure Water Duplex Alternating Water Softening System Series ensures continuous, high-efficiency softened water for point-of-use and point-of-entry applications. Perfect for constant water softening needs, these systems employ a standard cation exchange process to eliminate scale-causing calcium and magnesium ions, substituting them with non-scale-forming sodium ions for enhanced water quality and system longevity. Each system boasts the advanced Watts LOCKSMITH control valve, a robust, corrosion-resistant brass valve that's highly configurable and easy to maintain. Driven by an electronic controller, the valve retains key operational data and supports metered, demand-initiated regeneration, ensuring regeneration only when required—conserving water, salt, and energy. With grain capacities ranging from 90,000 to 600,000, and mineral tank diameters from 14 to 36 inches, each tank holds 3 to 20 cubic feet of high-capacity ion exchange resin. Flow rates span from 55 to 119 gallons per minute, and all models feature NSF and ANSI certified components with standard 2" FNPT inlet/outlet and 1" to 1½" MNPT drain connections, depending on the model. The duplex alternating setup ensures one tank remains in service while the other regenerates, providing uninterrupted soft water delivery for diverse residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
